Adding custom domain tracking within your email sending tool is helpful because it prevents your emails from using the default links of your email sending tools if you have tracking enabled or use links in your emails which can harm your deliverability.
Generally, adding links or enabling open rate tracking harms your email reputation though, as using the same link across many emails makes it easy for Google and Outlook to identify spam.
If you need to add custom domains for some reason, please refer to the instructions provided by your email sending tool. For Instantly, follow these steps:
1. Go to your email accounts.
2. Click on the email account you want to configure.
3. Go to the settings.
4. Click on “Custom Domain Tracking.”
5. Add “inst.yourdomain.com” (replace “yourdomain.com” with the actual domain of that email account).
